"Surfing in the Black" is a sound art album composed as a score for the adventures of a cosmic traveler lost in a black hole a billion years ago and confronted by the origins of darkness in the universe. The five tracks were composed to as a soundtrack for the five comics of "Silver Surfer Black" by Donny Cates, Tradd Moore and Dave Stewart (2019, Marvel Comics). The music follows the story frame by frame and is timed to an average reading pace. Or feel free to listen to the album on its own, and perhaps make up your own story.

The album features original music for the Symbiote god Knull, the horde of Symbiote creatures called Exolon and the planet Klyntar, Shalla Ball and the planet Zenn La, the living planet Ego, Galactus, The Watcher, and of course the Silver Surfer and his incarnations as the Void Knight and Silver Surfer Black in this series. Information listed under each track gives timings for events in the comics as a listening guide.
Series description by Marvel Comics: "The Black Order opened a black hole and cast several heroes -- including the Silver Surfer -- into the abyss. Now, drowning and unmoored in an endless void, the surfer is lost... "
